Gatwood’s Bakery is a fictional bakery inspired by my own grandmother. The idea was to create a video advertisement for a business around the values of family and the role that the kitchen plays within generations. Many of us learn to cook from someone we consider family, whether or not we’re blood-related. For me that was my grandmother. Many times I was either covered in flour or chopping vegetables in her kitchen. She sparked my early love of baking, and my continued love of cooking.
A Taste of Home starts with fresh ingredients made with care just like grandma made.
Baking is creating. It’s making a mess; it’s cleaning up; it’s being a family.
We are grandmothers, mothers, fathers, daughters, and more.
